With Northern charm and natural wittiness, Ashten’s musical performance touches a place in everyone’s heart.

Ashten currently sings all over the world as a vocalist and is newly represented by Cindy Thompson Entertainment for her work onboard cruise ships. She is also signed to one of London’s biggest musical theatre agencies Collective Agents. Her career onboard luxury cruise ships originated with her role as company manager and lead vocalist in productions onboard Viking Ocean Cruises.

Ashten is a West End trained musical theatre performer who is proficient in singing opera, jazz, pop and musical theatre music.  She also plays piano and guitar. Ashten is undeniably versatile and has a wide vocal range.  She can perform any genre with flair and will fill any theatre to the brim with passion and energy.

She has performed all over the world and has played roles such as Sarah in Guys and Dolls, Mrs Meers in Thoroughly Modern Millie, and Elphaba in Forbidden Broadway. Ashten’s shows feature choral arrangements entirely made up of her own voice. She also works as a session singer and runs a successful vocal coaching business Ashten York Singing, offering one to one vocal coaching to singers all over the world.

Ashten is also proficient in vocal production and mixing, and records all her own backing vocals that feature in her live shows.

She is also one third of a female harmony trio The Sass Sisters who perform unique close harmony arrangements and is entirely self accompanied. The trio have performed at events such as Standon Calling Festival and in 2019 hosted ‘An Evening With the Sass Sisters’.
